It's my birthday!

Last night the girls and I all slept in the master bedroom - Catherine and I on the bed, Mapi on the floor. We all slept VERY well and late - past 8. I missed trash pickup! Oh well.

This morning I got up and came to the computer while the girls still slept. Mapi came in a few minutes later and said HAPPY BIRTHDAY, mama! So sweet - I am thoroughly impressed she remembered today is my birthday (ok, I've been talking about it all week, but still...). A few minutes later Catherine walked in and she and Mapi decided to leave for the living room to play. Mapi called out "Happy birthday mama!" to me again as she left the room. Catherine abruptly turned from my side to follow her sister. She got to the doorframe before she parroted "hoppy djedje, mama!" and left the room.

I'm off to lunch with another friend. Yay, me! Manuel returns home tonight. Whew, what a week! We did it!
